Scholarship Establishment and Purpose

The TPTA Parking Professionals Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of dedicated parking and transportation professionals who have made a meaningful impact on their communities. The scholarship supports students who are pursuing studies and careers in public service, parking, transportation, and related fields.

Open to students who demonstrate strong academic performance, service-industry experience, and a commitment to volunteerism, the scholarship provides financial assistance and professional support to those preparing for careers in the parking and transportation industry. Through this program, TPTA invests in the next generation of industry professionals dedicated to creating safer, more efficient, and more accessible communities.

Submissions due each year in March

Scholarship Details 

  • Scholarship Award of $2,500

  • The award recipient also receives a two‐year TPTA membership

Academic Requirements

Student with a GPA of at least 3.0 from an accredited Community College/University.

  • Currently enrolled and taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

  • Pursuing studies for a career in public service, parking and transportation, or similar field.

  • Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least 30 undergraduate hours.

  • Graduate applicants must provide transcript of undergraduate degree from accredited university. 

  • Must have worked successfully in a position in the service industry for at least two years.

  • Must have volunteered at least 25 hours over the past two years – Signed documentation from a 501 (C) (3) organization with attesting to volunteer hours.

Eligibilty

  • Students pursuing a career in public service, parking and transportation or similar field.

  • Ineligible - TPTA Board members and their immediate family members.

  • The scholarship winner will be recognized at the annual TPTA conference.
