Marc Denson Scholarship
Scholarship Establishment and Purpose
The Marc Denson Scholarship honors Marc Denson who served as the Parking Manager for the City of Corpus Christi as well as a board member of the Texas Parking and Transportation Association from 2012 to 2017.
The TPTA Board seeks to recognize the kind of public service that Marc Denson gave during his time with the City of Corpus Christi, including commitment to public service integrity, persistence, resourcefulness, and compassion.
Complete the application by March 1, 2024.
2024 Scholarship Details
Scholarship Award of $2,500
The award recipient also receives a two‐year TPTA membership
Academic Requirements
Student with a GPA of at least 3.0 from an accredited Community College/University.
Currently enrolled and taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Pursuing studies for a career in public service, parking and transportation, or similar field.
Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least 30 undergraduate hours
Graduate applicants must provide transcript of undergraduate degree from accredited university.
Must have worked successfully in a position in the service industry for at least two years.
Must have volunteered at least 25 hours over the past two years – Signed documentation from a 501 (C) (3) organization with attesting to volunteer hours.
Eligibilty
Students pursuing a career in public service, parking and transportation or similar field.
Ineligible - TPTA Board members and their immediate family members
The scholarship winner will be recognized at the annual TPTA conference.
