Can you take this brief survey for us?

We hope this email finds you, your family and coworkers healthy and looking forward to returning to normal operations. With all the uncertainty over the COVID-19 Pandemic, the likely lower than anticipated annual revenue for our organizations, and how our operations will return to normal, we want to survey the membership to determine whether you think you will be able to attend the planned TPTA Conference at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, April 12-15, 2021.

Please take this brief survey - it won't take you more than 3 minutes tops. We appreciate your feedback - the results will help us determine what type of event we should be planning for 2021.

Please complete the survey by Monday, May 31, 2020.

Marc Denson Scholarship - apply today!

Smiling+Marc.jpg

The Marc Denson Scholarship is awarded annually by the Texas Parking and Transportation Association to a student worthy and that embodies the spirit of the scholarship’s namesake, Marc Denson. Marc was a Parking Manager for the City of Corpus Christi for several years, where he made great strides in improving the parking system for residents and tourists. He was also a board member of TPTA before he lost a courageous battle with cancer.

Marc was determined and always strived to do the right thing. He never compromised his principles, even when the political or job repercussions were great. His persistence and passion were what made him achieve complex goals. His soft side was his caring and giving attitude, always willing to help anyone that asked. He was confident, trustworthy and respected. TPTA honors his spirit annually by helping a student who most closely embodies Marc’s character.

TPTA 2020 Cancelled

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the cancellation of the TPTA 2020 Annual Conference & Tradeshow.

Due to the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, we have no choice but to make the necessary decision to cancel the Annual Conference originally scheduled for April 13–April 16 2020, in Dallas/Plano.

We are grateful to all of you who made plans to attend this year’s conference. It is heartbreaking to miss the annual gathering of our community, but the safety and health of attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and volunteers is paramount to TPTA. Put simply, cancelling the conference is the right thing to do during this historic time.

For registered attendees – your already paid fees will be applied to the 2021 TPTA Conference held at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock from April 12 to April 15, 2021. Fees may be applied to a substitution if the registered attendee cannot attend. In the event you are unable to attend due to a date conflict, your fees will be refunded upon receiving written notice 90 days prior to the 2021 Conference.

The conference hotel will cancel the current room reservations that were made in our group block. You will receive a cancellation email from the hotel. If you do not receive this by the end of the week – please be sure to cancel your reservation.

Lastly, thank you to the Host Committee who worked so hard on the conference and the exciting program that we are all devastated to miss. It has been a heartbreaking end to a year of planning and expectation, but we look forward to working together for a future conference back in Dallas/Plano.

Sincerely,

TPTA Board of Directors

2020 Conference update

Out of an abundance of caution regarding the Corona Virus and in response to the many travel restrictions being placed on our attendees, the Texas Parking & Transportation Association (TPTA) is delaying the April conference. We are working with the Hilton to reschedule the conference for the summer. We will temporarily hold your attendance fees, so that they can be applied to your registration for the future conference.

For our exhibitor and sponsor friends. We want to assure you that considerable thought will go into the selection of dates, so that, if possible, we will not schedule the conference or overlap already existing shows. Also, we want to reassure you that your booth space and sponsorship's will remain in place.

We appreciate your understanding during these challenging times and will work hard to give you answers ASAP.  If you have immediate questions please contact tpta@texasparking.org.

Associate Vice President Peter Lange will provide an insider view during three special segments, which outline how operational practices that make Gameday a success can be transformed to accomplish everyday success in your operations.
